Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and staining) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer for its low cost and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only drawback is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However an inspection of the cleaning history on the app will show you exactly what the robot completed, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed, such as emptying debris and washing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. And you can see the full cleaning details in the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend however we would like to be able distinguish between a vacuum only or mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that enables it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

Like the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by having a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It then can alter its path automatically and clean them, without missing a step.

It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin auto-refills.

The only issue I have discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to take the mount off for manual washing. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these features.  autonomous vacuum  contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings and monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how well-performing it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its intelligent design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum removes dry debris, including pet hair and food particles. It has a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without using pads. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 has a side brush that is able to be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture that is curved like table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture with a low profile, making it a great choice for small apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that allows the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.

Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming at the same time or in a series. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and notify you before it gets overflowing, reducing the requirement for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has many features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.

The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature since it prevents the growth of odours and mould in storage, and also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There's a wealth of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons on the device itself.  Read the Full Guide  is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are  Read the Full Guide  that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles rather than using a manual setting.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg but it's not too heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
