The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through a clean.
It's efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in a single pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in tight corners or along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to set up and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum for mopping purposes it is important to pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a range of features.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house, identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This ensures an even and thorough clean and is also rapid.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Read the Full Guide are also washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.
Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rug.
The device is costly, but has many smart features. It's crucial to keep in mind that it has periodic costs, such as mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and includes many physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and wash and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.
Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to shield certain areas of your house from being swept with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair of pets. It was able capture many of the hair sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the corners and crevices of our stairs where other robots had struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few nice jingles that indicated when it was about to start or completing its task.
The app was too basic and you had to change the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to store multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.
The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more precise in finding objects.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in an obstruction, such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.
Another issue that could be a problem is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
